Rising Star Award
Since 1995, the ABHOF has been honoring outstanding area high school players with our Rising Star Award. 2020 represents the 25th year of the Rising Star Award. Each year, the top high school juniors in the metro area who, in addition to excelling on the diamond, are good citizens and have at least a 2.0 grade point average, are evaluated by our selection committee. The committee then selects the top five finalists.
At our spring induction ceremony, we introduce and honor those five finalists and their coaches for their outstanding achievements. The winner of the Rising Star Award is announced at the ceremony just prior to the formal Hall of Fame inductions.
