Dear Hall of Fame Members and Friends of the ABHOF:
Last year we were talking about the upcoming season and the debut of our display at Busch Stadium. Hopefully, by now, you have had an opportunity to join the myriad of Cardinal fans who have enjoyed viewing this outstanding tribute to St. Louis Amateur baseball.
Over 3 million fans per season can now observe memorabilia representing the amazing history of amateur baseball in St. Louis in a beautiful display located on the lower concourse between sections 138 and 140, about half way down the right field line. Central to the display is a large monitor providing a dynamic display featuring ABHOF member’s names, photos, videos and much more.
As we did last year, we are again asking for your help to maintain and improve the exhibit quality we all desire. We need your pledge specifically directed to the continued development and on-going maintenance of that display. Among other improvements, we would like to add additional exterior lighting to better illuminate our signage. We need your help. We would like all our members to consider a yearly monetary gift which will help us reach our goal of raising $10,000 each year for the next five years.
As you know the ABHOF is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization. Your yearly donation is tax deductible as allowed by law. In our 44-year existence, we have never solicited direct donations from our members and supporters. However, the ABHOF board of directors feels strongly that this new display warrants support from all of us. Please consider a yearly pledge to help us reach our goal. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
And, we need memorabilia related to your amateur baseball experience in the form of uniforms, gloves, bats, spikes, trophies, photos, videos and anything else you would like to have displayed for viewing by the over 3 million fans who visit Busch Stadium annually. If you have something that you feel would make an interesting display item,
please send us a description of the item detailing why it’s significant and a simple photo of the item.
